Last week, Volunteer Aid received notice that the IRS had approved its request to become a 501(c)(3) organization. Effective August 16, 2016, Volunteer Aid is now recognized as a public charity. This is a major milestone for Volunteer Aid that will be pivotal as it begins to implement the fundraising strategy for its first class of volunteers.
